Being a farmer has shaped my agricultural consulting practices. The granular inputs on my farm have been reduced by over 75% and at the same time, the yields and quality have increased. Our insecticide and fungicide rates decrease throughout the growing season which results in less pest and disease pressure. I utilize a more preventative strategy focusing on developing healthy plants that better ward such pests and diseases more efficiently. These are common issues that farmers face, but with the proper plan these issues can be significantly reduced.
